Localize file

The localize file is intended to aid translators. Creating this file allows you to override some aspects of the game or to cheat. Create a file called localize.txt and save it to your Desktop. Here's the basic structure:

[USERNAME]

[PASSWORD]

[LANGUAGE]
fr

[SCRIPT]

Username and Password

The USERNAME and PASSWORD sections are only added if you are part of the translation project - they contain your login to the Little Translator site, allowing you to edit text in-game.

When these values are set, the following in-game keys are available:

HOME - Pops up an editor for the text you currently see in-game. Once you are done editing, the game will resume with the new text so you can see how it looks in the game right away.

END - Press and hold to see the original English text.

Language

This is the two-letter code of the language you want the game to use. Current possible values are:

fr French
nl Dutch
de German
es Spanish

If you are participating in the translation project, the following translations are underway, but are not complete:

it Italian
sv Swedish
pt Portugese
ru Russian

There are still 4 hidden letters in the game though, which are delivered only when you send Sugar Plumps the WRONG items. To view these four hidden letters, you'll need to get each of the four "request" letters, and then send back a wrong item and wait for her response to show up. To cheat yourself some dummy items to send her, try adding this line to the script: getitem Brick

It's weird, this isn't working for me, I'm trying to play in Dutch. Even if I put in my username and password (I was a translator). This didn't work before it was released either. Little Inferno just runs in English as if the file doesn't exist.

It doesn't work for me either but I don't have my username and password received. You can try to put this file in your profile directory.

Oh I forgot one: HouseRow

It won't work because you don't have a special version of the game made for translators.

Unfortunately you cannot get it if you're not in the translator team. Work on translations is completed, and I don't think there is need for more translators.

Are you sure? Has the team translated it to Tagalog already? I think not.

Although the Filipino people are very great in English grammar, there are still illiterate people who doesn't understand the structure of the English language. So, it needs to be translated to Tagalog. I'm just suggesting.

Translations have been done for quite some time now. If you really desperately want to translate to another language, I'd suggest attempting to contact Tomorrow Corp about it. Chances are they don't really care, as the game has been out for quite some time now and they're working on the next one.
