Graphics issue on iPhone 5s

There is a graphics issue with Little Inferno downloaded for iPhone 5s. Whenever I burn things, the soot on the background looks very blocky. I tried redownloading the game multiple times. Google search yielded no results. Suggestions? The glitch does not affect gameplay but it is very annoying. Would provide pictures but not sure how.

Hmm, it's very strange. The soot usually disappears completely after a couple of seconds.
Is it disappearing for you?

Nope, it stays on the screen until a game event causes it to disappear.
