The localize file is intended to aid translators. Creating this file allows you to override some aspects of the game or to cheat. Create a file called localize.txt and save it to your Desktop. Here's the basic structure:
[USERNAME] [PASSWORD] [LANGUAGE] fr [SCRIPT]
Username and Password
The USERNAME and PASSWORD sections are only added if you are part of the translation project - they contain your login to the Little Translator site, allowing you to edit text in-game.
When these values are set, the following in-game keys are available:
HOME - Pops up an editor for the text you currently see in-game. Once you are done editing, the game will resume with the new text so you can see how it looks in the game right away.
END - Press and hold to see the original English text.
This is the two-letter code of the language you want the game to use. Current possible values are:
If you are participating in the translation project, the following translations are underway, but are not complete:
The SCRIPT section is executed when you run the game. Known commands are as follows:
|Skip the "Warning: Do not play with fire" screen.
|Skip the "Little Inferno" logo screen.
|Stop the automatic delivery of letters(?).
|Get access to this catalog and any previous ones (e.g. getcatalog catalog_07 to get all catalogs).
|Unlock all items for purchase.
|nn=99 mark all combos as completed.
|Clear your mailbox.
|Add(or set??) your coins to this value.
|Add(or set??) your special delivery stamps to this value.
|Purchase the specified item (e.g. Brick).
|getletter <letter id>
|Receive the specified letter.
|scene <scene id> 0
|Jump to the specified outdoor scene.
There are still 4 hidden letters in the game though, which are delivered only when you send Sugar Plumps the WRONG items. To view these four hidden letters, you'll need to get each of the four "request" letters, and then send back a wrong item and wait for her response to show up. To cheat yourself some dummy items to send her, try adding this line to the script: getitem Brick
|Scene where you meet the mailman and have a conversation
