Game crashes moments into fire warning screen

I purchased the game on steam early today and it crashes a few seconds into the fire warning screen restarting my computer as it does so.

I have spent the day downloading all windows updates, updating drivers for my graphics card and uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times; this has still not worked. A solution would be greatly appriciated.

System:

Windows 7 (64bit)
Intel Core i5 @ 3.33GHz
8Gb Ram
Nvidia Geforce GTX 580 graphics card

Can't see why it won't run properly.

You can see the warning, it means embed.pak is okay. I think there may be something wrong with the resource frontend.pak. Try to download your game again.

As mentioned I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game many times today.

Have tried adding the setting.txt into both steam and appdata folder but no difference.
